Do you love dogs and exercise? Then this is the job for you! We have been dog walking and pet sitting in Denver since 2008. Our primary service area is central Denver. Please do not apply if you live further than 15 minutes from central Denver. We are currently seeking dog walkers that can start training as soon as possible! Paid training is included and is paid at Denver minimum wage, $19.29/hr.

What you will need:

A clear background so that you can be granted access to clients' homes A working smartphone with a data plan A reliable personal vehicle that can drive in snow/inclement weather The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, flexible, an excellent communicator and great with dogs. People don't think dog walking is all that detailed, but

THEY'RE WRONG!

You must learn the routines and requirements of people's homes, which are all different. Which dog is which? How much food? When? Where is the leash? How much medication? What is alarm code? How do I arm the alarm? Did I lock the patio door? This list goes on and on. We are seeking detail-oriented professionals who can follow instructions to a 't' and run their events on time . Duties

• Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks
• Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners regarding their pets' care and behavior
• Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly
• Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or health issues and report any concerns to the owner
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with clients and their pets Requirements
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
• Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy lifting, as some dogs may be large or strong
• Knowledge of basic animal behavior and understanding of dog body language helpful
• Excellent customer service skills and great written communication
• Availability mid-day Mon-Fri; there is occasional need for Saturday/Sunday dog walks although they are typically only 1 or 2 walks
• Experience in dog handling or a related field such as veterinary technician, animal care, pet sitting, kennel, or pet grooming is welcomed

DEPENDABILITY

We cannot NOT show up for our animals. They depend on us for top-notch care. If you regularly find yourself sick or unable to show up for work, this is not the job for you.

Scheduling dog walks is an art and not a science and will ebb and flow depending on the needs of our clients. Looking for someone who can roll with the punches of a somewhat fluid schedule.
