This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in growing within a dynamic environment focused on dog care and training. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining kennel duties and training dogs for both the general public and law enforcement agencies. This position is ideal for candidates passionate about working with dogs, eager to develop their skills, and committed to providing high-quality care and training. Duties Perform daily kennel maintenance, including cleaning, feeding, and providing overall care for the dogs Assist in training dogs for various purposes, including obedience, behavior modification, and specialized tasks Work closely with team members to ensure the well-being and safety of all animals in the facility Support training sessions for dogs being prepared for public clients as well as law enforcement agencies Monitor dog behavior and progress, documenting training outcomes and any notable observations Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote health and safety standards Foster positive interactions with dogs to encourage trust and effective training outcomes Support team efforts in expanding skills and knowledge related to dog handling and training techniques Requirements
MINIMUM 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A KENNEL WITH 20 + DOGS
Must Have Reliable Transportation Passion for working with dogs and a desire to grow within the field of canine care and training Prior experience in kennel work or dog training is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently Strong work ethic with attention to detail and reliability in daily tasks Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team Physical stamina to perform kennel duties, including lifting, cleaning, and standing for extended periods Commitment to animal welfare, safety protocols, and ongoing professional development This position provides an engaging environment for individuals looking to develop their expertise in dog care while contributing positively to our community of pet owners and law enforcement partners.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
