Mon-Fri mornings We're looking for dog people—not just dog lovers. At Paws Paradise Fur Life, our team doesn't spend the day sitting around petting dogs. We safely manage playgroups, read canine body language, prevent conflicts before they happen, and provide exceptional care to every dog in our facility. If you're passionate about working hands-on with dogs, eager to learn canine behavior, and take pride in providing outstanding care, we'd love to meet you. This is a physically active position that requires teamwork, accountability, consistency, and a willingness to learn. What You'll Do Professional Dog Handling (Primary Responsibility) Safely supervise structured playgroups of dogs Read canine body language and recognize stress signals Prevent problems before they escalate Redirect inappropriate behavior calmly and confidently Safely introduce dogs into appropriate playgroups Maintain a safe, structured, and enriching environment Handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities Medical & Special Care Unlike many daycare facilities, we occasionally care for dogs recovering from surgery, seniors, and dogs with medical needs. Veterinary assistant, veterinary technician, shelter medicine, or rescue experience is a huge plus—but not required. We're happy to train the right person who wants to learn.
Responsibilities may include:
Administering medications (after training) Monitoring for changes in behavior or health Following individualized care instructions accurately Providing gentle, patient handling for special-needs dogs Facility Care A clean facility keeps our dogs healthy.
Every shift includes:
Cleaning up waste immediately Mopping, scrubbing, and disinfecting play areas Washing bowls, toys, bedding, and assisting with laundry Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment Additional Animal Care We occasionally board cats and small pets, including reptiles. Applicants should be comfortable caring for a variety of species when needed. Customer Service Greet clients Check dogs in and out Answer phones Schedule services Process payments Represent PPFL professionally We're Looking For Someone Who...
