Pet's Life Augusta, GA Job Details Full-time $12 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Companion animal handling Nail care High school diploma or GED Driver's License Dog handling Full Job Description Job Duties and Responsibilities include: We are looking for someone with combined experience working in a Pet Boarding - Daycare & Bather. Provide all (Pet guests) & coworkers with kindness and respect.
  • Ensure the safety of all of our Guests following strict operations policies.
  • Manage groups of up to 50 dogs in open play environment.
  • Understand the difference between dogs playing and dogs being aggressive & other pet behaviors and modifiers.
  • Providing Pets with safe, clean & happy environment .
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary facility.
  • More cleaning...yes we do a lot of cleaning!
  • Basic dog grooming, baths, and nail trims, Sani, paw pads, visor tidy. Cats and exotics too.
  • Standing on your feet all day long and cleaning. It is a very labor-intensive environment.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, pet parents and leadership.
  • Always be dependable and on time. Must have you own reliable transportation and phone on site during shift.
  • Multi-tasking abilities is a must and must be able to prioritize.
  • Regularly demonstrate sincere concern for the care, attitudes, and behaviors of pets and the relationships they have with their pet parent.
  • Demonstrate a positive, fun attitude.
Qualifications:
  • No experience required, but previous kennel experience a plus!
  • Passion for the care of Pets, no fear of Pets.
  • Comfortable around Pets of all sizes and temperaments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and your own Reliable transportation.
  • Able to pass a background/criminal check.
  • Fast, motivated learner.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Must be dependable and punctual - an absolute requirement.
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able & Willing to stand/walk for an entire shift.
  • Capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
