Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Lead Dog Trainer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will lead our dog training programs, mentor staff, and ensure that both pets and their owners receive top-tier training experiences. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive obedience and behavioral modification training programs for dogs of all ages and temperaments. Lead training sessions using positive reinforcement strategies to promote good behavior and pet well-being. Mentor and supervise assistant trainers and staff, providing guidance on training techniques, animal handling, and client communication. Conduct assessments of dogs' behavioral needs and create customized training plans tailored to each pet's requirements. Educate pet owners on positive behavior support strategies, pet care best practices, and effective at-home training techniques. Oversee animal handling procedures ensuring safety during training sessions, including restraint and grooming when necessary. Maintain detailed records of training progress, behavioral assessments, and client interactions to ensure consistent quality of service. Requirements Proven experience in dog training with a strong understanding of animal behavior principles. Knowledge of positive reinforcement training methods and pet behavioral modification techniques. Ability to handle animals safely during training sessions with proper restraint skills. Excellent client communication skills to educate pet owners effectively. Must have basic understanding of sales and marketing techniques, and be comfortable using social media, g-suite, Microsoft office, email and telephone communication. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
