Duties Safely handle and manage dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring proper animal restraint and behavior management Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and daily care routines to promote comfort and health Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through thorough sanitization and cleaning practices Support staff with basic animal care tasks such as feeding, administering medications, and monitoring health status Engage in outdoor activities like walks and playtime to promote physical activity and mental stimulation for the animals Assist with pet bathing, to keep pets looking their best Ensure adherence to safety protocols during heavy lifting or team lifting tasks when moving supplies or animals Skills Previous experience working with multiple dogs Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling enhances your ability to manage diverse behaviors effectively Strong knowledge of animal restraint techniques and animal behavior principles ensures safe interactions Excellent customer service skills help communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently while maintaining sanitation standards in pet care facilities Outdoor work experience supports engaging in active duties like walking dogs or cleaning outdoor kennels Team lifting skills are essential for safely moving large animals or equipment when necessary Join us if you're eager to make a difference in the lives of pets while building valuable skills in animal care!
