In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs in our community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal handling, be comfortable working with various breeds, and possess excellent customer service skills. Your primary goal will be to ensure the well-being and happiness of the dogs while building trust with their owners. Responsibilities Supervise dog group play Front desk duty such as checking in and out and booking appointments Walk dogs of varying sizes and temperaments, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior. Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to the owner promptly. Maintain a clean and safe environment for the dogs during walks, including proper waste disposal. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and any observations made during walks. Assist with pet sitting duties as needed, providing care when owners are away. Handle multiple dogs at once while ensuring each receives individual attention and care. Requirements Previous experience in dog handling or animal care. Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus. Veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment. Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Experience in pet grooming, kennel work, or equine care is beneficial but not mandatory. Must demonstrate excellent animal restraint techniques when necessary to ensure safety for both pets and handlers.
