Canine Crews, a growing dog daycare and boarding facility (we welcome cats too!), is hiring Dog Handlers to join our passionate Crew! All of our team start as Dog Handlers and can eventually cross-train into other roles (lobby, shift-lead, ACE program, trainer, etc). Why Work with

What We're Looking For:
Love for dogs and dedication to their well-being Strong communication with coworkers and customers Willingness to learn animal behavior, safety, and pet care Comfort with cleaning and maintaining a tidy space Team spirit and alignment with our values Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Ability to handle pet waste safely and efficiently
Pay & Schedule:
Starting:
$17.05/hour with potential increases up to $19/hour within the first year
Training:
4-5 weeks in length
Schedules:
22-28 hours per week to start. We are also looking for weekend evening availability. Part-time to start, with full-time opportunities available after 6 months-1 year

Shifts:
4-hour weekend or 6-8-hour weekday shifts Workdays include weekdays, holidays, and weekends
Location:
1616 N Washtenaw Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 (must relocate before starting)
Responsibilities:
Care for dogs: feeding, grooming, and exercising Ensure safety and well-being through proper handling Assist with training and manage behavioral issues Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas Communicate with pet owners about their pets' needs Support managment staff as needed If you're ready to make a difference and grow in a rewarding role with animals, apply today!
