Overview Join our dynamic team as a Dog Handler and Dog Care Assistant, where your passion for animals and dedication to their well-being will shine. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care, handling, and supervision of dogs in a dog training facility. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure that each dog receives personalized attention, proper training, and a safe environment to thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while supporting a caring community of pet lovers. Responsibilities Safely handle and control dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and obedience Provide dog boarding services, including feeding, walking, grooming, and administering medication as needed Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces through regular sanitization and animal care facility cleaning protocols Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly Engage in outdoor work such as walking dogs, supervising playtime, and ensuring secure outdoor enclosures Skills Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly valued for understanding animal health needs Experience in pet sitting, dog training, kennel management or animal handling enhances your ability to succeed in this role Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal restraint methods ensures safe handling during various activities Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when moving animals or equipment safely Familiarity with pet boarding procedures, animal behavior assessment, and outdoor work environments Commitment to maintaining high standards of pet care facility sanitization and safety protocols Good practice in being on time and minimal call off of shifts. Pay:
From $13.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 45.0 per week
