This position offers hands-on experience, direct mentorship, and a clear path to learn our training methodologies with the opportunity to transition into a primary Trainer role. Duties & Responsibilities Assist the lead trainer during hands-on client lessons, serving as a decoy, second handler, or setup assistant for reactivity, impulse control, and service dog task training. Support group and individual training sessions both indoors and outdoors across various real-world environments. Maintain safe handling standards and strict adherence to humane, science-based training methodologies (LIMA principles and positive reinforcement). Assist with equipment setup, client communication support, and monitoring dog body language during working sessions. Travel to client locations throughout Northwest Indiana.
