Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for our beloved animals. In this energetic role, you will ensure the well-being, cleanliness, and safety of pets in our care while supporting a compassionate environment for both animals and their owners. Your dedication will help create a positive experience for every pet and pet owner who walks through our doors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop your skills, and contribute to a caring community. Duties Provide attentive pet care including feeding, watering, exercise, and administering medications as directed Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and sanitation procedures Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure their comfort and safety Assist outdoor activities to promote healthy activity levels and well-being Support pet grooming activities such as bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene maintenance Monitor animal behavior to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate observations to veterinary staff or supervisors Requirements Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel operations is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during kennel cleaning or equipment setup (team lifting encouraged) Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and maintaining outdoor work areas This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal welfare who thrive in active environments.
