Job DescriptionResponsible for loading horses into the starting gates prior to races. Assist with scheduling and supervising the schooling of horses.

  • Load horses into the starting gates.
  • Assist with scheduling & supervising of schooling of horses.
  • Assist with listing of horses that are unruly in the starting gates; help to ensure they are schooled before they race again. Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Prior experience in a similar position preferred.
  • Must be a skilled horse handler.
  • Must be able to work with horsemen and give directions.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be physically agile and able to stand and walk, climb, reach, lift, bend, and work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
