We are currently seeking someone who can work Monday-Friday (12pm-7pm) afternoon shifts. We are open to hiring two people for this roll in the event an applicant can only work partial of these days, however afternoon availability is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare, excellent dog handling skills, and experience working with animals in kennel settings. This role involves working closely with dogs of various temperaments and sizes, ensuring their safety and overall well-being. Responsibilities Safely handle and restrain dogs during play and other activities Ensuring animals are comfortable and well-cared-for during their stay Answering calls, texts and emails & scheduling dogs into the system Cleaning up after the dogs as they relieve themselves throughout the day Maintain cleanliness of common spaces to promote hygiene and safety Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly Assist with heavy lifting of animals or supplies when necessary Deliver excellent customer service by addressing pet owners' questions and providing updates on their pets' status Qualifications Prior experience in dog training, veterinary assisting, kennel work, or pet grooming is highly desirable but not required Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of dog body language and communication Capable of standing and walking for long periods of time Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks Compassionate attitude towards animals and a genuine interest in their well-being Reliable, responsible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be comfortable working around animals of various sizes and temperaments Join our team to make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners by providing compassionate care and professional handling.
