This is a temporary position from Oct/Nov to Apr/May. There is strong potential for this to be a permanent role beyond Apr/May. Position will start as part time during training and become full time in Dec/Jan. Full time hours will be guaranteed from mid Jan to mid April. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be supervising dogs in our daycare & boarding program, ensuring their safety, happiness, and well-being. Your enthusiasm and animal handling skills will help create a positive experience for pets and their owners alike.

Duties Supervise Group Play:

Monitor open play areas to maintain a safe environment for dogs of various breeds and sizes.

Behavior Management:

Read and understand canine body language to manage group dynamics and prevent conflicts calmly.

Daily Care & Feeding:

Provide fresh water, meals, and specialized care according to individualized feeding schedules.

Sanitation & Hygiene:

Keep play areas and common areas thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and well-maintained.

Check-Ins & Guest Care:

Assist with morning check-ins, evening check-outs, and share friendly updates with pet parents.

Overnight Boarding:

Spend the night with our overnight boarding guests. We are crate free, so think doggy slumber party! (staff is allowed and encouraged to sleep, we only accept well mannered dogs and strive to be a home away from home environment) Requirements Prior experience in veterinary settings, pet sitting, kennel work, or animal handling is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training, animal behavior, and pet grooming techniques is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting and team lifting safely for tasks such as moving supplies or large dogs Strong skills in animal restraint, handling multiple animals simultaneously, and outdoor work environments Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitized pet care facility according to health standards Passion for animals with a proactive approach to pet care and safety

Schedule & Compensation Pay Rate:

$20.00 per hour. Training Phase (Oct/Nov): Begins with structured part-time training to get comfortable with our pack and safety protocols. Full-Time Schedule (Dec/Jan): Shifts expand to full-time hours through the winter season. Full-time hours guaranteed from mid January to mid April (staff member will be away on maternity leave)
