We are dedicated to providing exceptional care and a safe environment for dogs while their owners are away. Summary We are seeking a dedicated part-time Kennel Assistant to join our team at Indian Bridge Kennels & Suites, Inc. This is not a seasonal position. Applicants should be available to continue employment past the summer months. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being of our canine guests and maintaining a clean and organized facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be committed to providing excellent customer service. Employment with Indian Bridge Kennels & Suites, Inc. is conditioned on successful completion of pre-employment screening, which includes drug testing for controlled substances, including cannabis/marijuana/THC, where permitted by applicable law. A positive test result, refusal to test, or failure to complete required screening may result in withdrawal of a conditional offer of employment. Responsibilities Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, cleaning, and playtimes. Maintain cleanliness of the kennels and common areas to ensure a safe environment. Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to management. Assist with animal restraint during grooming or first aid care as needed. Handle dogs of various sizes with confidence and care. Support the team in managing heavy lifting tasks related to kennel maintenance. Interact and monitor dogs during playtimes in all weather conditions. Requirements At least one year experience in pet care or animal handling is required. Strong understanding of animal behavior and needs. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required. Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and pet owners. A compassionate attitude towards animals and commitment to their welfare. Interact and monitor dogs during playtimes in all weather conditions. Must be available to work various shifts including morning, evening, daytime, weekends, and holidays.
