Kennel Technician

In this energetic role, you will ensure the health, safety, and comfort of our furry guests while supporting the daily operations of our pet care facility. Your enthusiasm for animals and dedication to their well-being will shine through as you handle a variety of responsibilities that keep our environment clean, safe, and welcoming for pets and their owners alike. Provide attentive pet care, including feeding, administering medications, and monitoring health status Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to promote hygiene and prevent illness Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques, ensuring safety for both pets and staff Assist with dog training activities to promote good behavior and socialization skills Groom pets through bathing and brushing to keep them comfortable and looking their best Prior experience working with animals in a kennel, veterinary clinic, or pet grooming setting is highly preferred Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe interactions Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with animal transfers Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Must demonstrate excellent animal handling skills, patience, and compassion for animals of all temperaments Ability to walk 10,000 to 15,000 steps a shift Ability to work efficiently while managing multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced setting Must be comfortable with the inherent risks of working with animals, including potential scratches or dog bites Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, including kennel areas, training rooms, play yards, and outdoor walking areas Exposure to varying weather conditions, including hot and humid summers and cold winter temps Frequent exposure to animal dander, fur, cleaning products, and other potential allergens High noise levels due to barking dogs and other animal related sounds Daily interaction with dogs of various breeds, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels Must be 18 years old or older Must have reliable transportation to and from work Weekends Required Join us in creating a caring environment where animals thrive!
