Purpose over play. Balance over burnout. That's the Lily's Difference. This role goes beyond traditional daycare. Enrichment Care Specialists help create balanced days that combine appropriate social play, mental stimulation, physical activity, confidence-building experiences, individualized attention, and structured rest. Rotate dogs between play, enrichment activities, and structured rest. Provide fresh water and maintain clean, comfortable spaces. Assist with feeding, medications, potty breaks, and other daily care as assigned. Monitor dogs for changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, energy level, or physical condition and promptly communicate concerns to leadership. Individualized Care An important part of this position is recognizing that every dog's enrichment day may look different. The Enrichment Care Specialist should learn the dogs in their care and understand that one dog may thrive during Fungility while another needs confidence-building exercises, a quiet walk, or additional one-on-one attention. Success is not measured by how many activities a dog completes. Success is measured by providing positive, purposeful experiences appropriate for that individual dog. Documentation & Client Experience Document completed enrichment activities accurately. Assist with enrichment report cards and daily notes. Take appropriate photos and videos of pets participating in enrichment. Communicate meaningful accomplishments, challenges, and observations to the appropriate team members. Help provide families with an understanding of what their dog experienced and accomplished during their day. Cleaning & Facility Care Providing enrichment also means providing a clean, safe environment. Clean and sanitize rooms and enrichment areas. Clean play yards, equipment, pools, and activity spaces. Wash dishes, bedding, toys, and enrichment equipment. Maintain organized enrichment supplies. Complete assigned opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties. Immediately report damaged equipment or potential safety concerns. What This Role Is NOT This position is not about keeping dogs constantly busy. It is not professional dog training, professional agility training, or all-day play. Our Enrichment Care Specialists are responsible for understanding when a dog needs activity and when that dog needs rest. We believe meaningful enrichment comes from creating positive experiences, allowing dogs to make choices, celebrating small victories, and meeting each dog where they are. Our Philosophy At Lily's Play-N-Stay, we believe pet care should continue evolving. Our Enrichment Program represents the next tier of the care we've provided our community over the past five years. It allows our team to spend more individualized time with dogs while introducing purposeful experiences that challenge their bodies, engage their minds, and build their confidence. Some days, success looks like completing a Fungility obstacle. Sometimes it's learning a new command. Sometimes it's getting into the pool. Sometimes it's solving a puzzle. And sometimes success is simply a nervous dog deciding they're brave enough to try. Purpose over play. Balance over burnout. That's the Lily's Difference.
