Job Description

At Know Thy Dog, our name is our philosophy. To "Know the Dog" means we pay attention. We learn personalities. We understand behavior. We build relationships — with the dogs in our care, with their owners, and with each other. We are not just a boarding and daycare facility. We are a professional team committed to structure, safety, communication, and high standards of care. Our culture is built on accountability, respect, and being considerate teammates. After a busy and successful year, we're expanding our services and growing our team. We're hiring for part-time, year-round positions, with flexibility for the right candidate. We are interviewing and training immediately. Who Thrives Here You might be a great fit if: You take pride in doing things the right way — even when no one is watching You don't mind getting dirty, moving fast, and staying on your feet You communicate clearly and professionally — even on busy days You love dogs, but also respect structure and boundaries You want to be part of a team that holds each other accountable You are considerate of your coworkers and understand that teamwork matters You value relationships and take time to truly learn the dogs in your care You show up on time and follow through You don't mind working hard, moving quickly, and getting dirty This is not a "just hang out with dogs" job. It's active, detail-oriented, and sometimes physically demanding. The welfare of our dogs is always the top priority. Fun is part of the job — but safety and professionalism come first.
