Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Dog Walker to join our team in the West Raleigh, Cary and Durham areas. As a Dog Walker, you will be responsible for providing exercise and companionship to dogs and other pets in our care. This is a great opportunity for individuals who have a passion for animals and enjoy spending time outdoors. In addition to dog walking and pet sitting, you will have the opportunity to do overnight pet care in your home or the client's homes. This is a great way to make some extra commissioned pay. We are looking for someone in the Durham, West Raleigh and Cary areas. Having a car is a requirement.
Duties:
  • Walk dogs on designated routes, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Provide exercise and playtime for dogs
  • Clean up after dogs during walks
  • Monitor dogs' behavior and report any concerns to the supervisor
  • Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners regarding their pets' care
  • Maintain accurate records of walks, including duration, distance, and any notable observations
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience handling dogs is preferred
  • Knowledge of animal care practices and basic dog behavior
  • Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
  • Physical stamina to walk multiple dogs for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable with heavy lifting (e.g., carrying large bags of dog food)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience in a related field such as kennel work, dog training, veterinary assistance, or veterinary technician is a plus

This is a commission based paid position where pay is per job offered. Internship positions are not offered.
