At Great Bay Doggie Daycare (GBDD) in picturesque Durham, NH, our days are all about helping dogs exercise, socialize, play, and enjoy the mental stimulation that comes from spending time with other dogs in a safe, controlled environment. Our campus is designed with both dogs and their caregivers in mind, offering sun and shade, pools, chairs, playground equipment, decks, and awnings that provide additional shade and rain protection. We're looking for a self-motivated, friendly Dog Daycare Attendant with previous dog daycare and/or equine and barn experience to join our team full-time, year-round. If you understand animal behavior, can think quickly when things get busy, and enjoy being part of a supportive team, we'd love to meet you. Why Our Doggie Daycare Attendants Loves It Here Weekday-only schedule Flexible scheduling that supports work-life balance Spend your workday caring for and interacting with dogs Outdoor campus with pools, shade, playground equipment, decks, and covered areas Supportive, team-oriented environment A workplace where questions are encouraged and your efforts are appreciated Opportunities to continue developing your animal-care and handling skills What Our Doggie Daycare Attendants Do Supervise dogs during group play and daycare activities Help provide appropriate exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation Monitor dog interactions, behavior, and body language closely Recognize signs of stress, discomfort, or escalating behavior and respond appropriately Help maintain a safe and controlled environment for every dog in our care Keep daycare areas, equipment, and shared spaces clean and organized Assist with daily setup, cleanup, and general facility responsibilities Communicate clearly with teammates about behavior, safety, and care needs Provide friendly, professional customer service when interacting with pet owners Jump in wherever needed to help the team and daycare day run smoothly What You'll Bring Previous experience in a dog daycare and/or equine and barn setting is required Knowledge of dog body language and behavior Ability to think and respond quickly in stressful or unexpected situations Physical ability to lift as needed and remain on your feet for extended periods A self-motivated and dependable approach to your work A friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude Strong awareness of animal and workplace safety Comfort working in an active indoor and outdoor environment Customer service skills are a plus A genuine commitment to the comfort, safety, and well-being of the dogs in our care The Extras You'll Actually Feel This isn't a desk job—and that's part of the fun.
