Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Canine Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and handling, particularly with dogs. This role requires a blend of skills in dog training, veterinary assistance, and customer service to ensure the well-being of our canine clients and provide exceptional service to their owners. Duties Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. Train dogs using positive reinforcement techniques to promote good behavior and obedience. Assist with veterinary procedures as needed, including basic health assessments and administering medications. Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort during interactions. Maintain cleanliness in the kennel area, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all animals. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and behaviors. Provide support in pet grooming tasks as required. Engage in customer service activities to enhance client relationships and satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in dog handling or training is essential. Background in veterinary assistance or veterinary technician roles is highly desirable. Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus. Experience in animal care, including knowledge of animal restraint methods. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members. Previous experience in kennel operations or pet sitting is beneficial but not mandatory. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is a must. Pay:
$13.00 - $16.00 per hour
