Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. You will interact with dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their well-being and happiness throughout the day. If you have a love for animals and experience in pet care, we want to hear from you! Open to part-time or full-time positions. Our daycare hours are Monday-Friday 7am-6pm. Weekend and holidays NOT required! Responsibilities Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure safety and proper behavior. Maintain a clean and organized environment by regularly cleaning play areas, kennels, and equipment. Monitor the health and behavior of all dogs, reporting any concerns to management. Assist in feeding, administering medications, and providing basic grooming as needed. Implement positive reinforcement techniques during training sessions or playtime. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their dog's day and any relevant updates. Ensure all safety protocols are followed to create a secure environment for both pets and staff. Qualifications Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred; familiarity with dog training or grooming is a plus. Strong knowledge of animal behavior and body language to ensure safe interactions. Ability to perform animal restraint techniques safely when necessary. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both pets and their owners. A genuine passion for animals and commitment to their well-being. Must be physically capable of lifting dogs of various sizes and standing for extended periods.
