Overview Join our dynamic team as a Private Dog Trainer, where your passion for animals and expertise in canine behavior will make a lasting impact on dogs and their owners. In this role, you will deliver personalized training programs tailored to each dog's unique needs in the owners home or other agreed upon location. Emphasis is on fostering positive behavior and strengthening the human-animal bond. Your energetic approach and dedication will help clients achieve their training goals while ensuring the well-being and safety of every dog you work with. This position also offers a pet sitting role for an interested candidate but is not a requirement. Duties Conduct private, in-home dog training sessions Work with dogs of all ages and life stages (puppy through Senior) Address common behavior challenges (jumping, countersurfing, leash pulling, recall, impulse control, obedience, etc.) Develop customized training plans for each client Provide clear coaching and homework for owners Maintain professional communication with clients Document session notes and progress Experience Prior dog training experience (professional or extensive hands-on experience) Strong knowledge of positive reinforcement training methods Understanding of canine body language and behavior Ability to confidently coach and educate pet owners Strong communication and customer service skills Professional, reliable, and self-motivated Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes Prior experience working with animals in settings such as kennels, shelters, or pet care facilities is a bonus Growth & Career Opportunities With This Paw Pet Services is a growing company, and we are excited to offer opportunities for team members to grow alongside us.
