Kennel Attendant & Doggy Day Care Attendant- Full-Time Clif Wyck Kennels is an extremely busy boarding and doggy daycare facility located in the Marlton area. We are looking for mature, responsible, dependable individuals with a strong work ethic who enjoy working with animals and are looking for a long-term employment opportunity . Clif Wyck has been caring for dogs and cats for more than 20 years . We provide short- and long-term boarding for dogs and cats, as well as Doggy Daycare. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring employees to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and holidays . Hours typically range from 30-40 hours per week , depending on business needs. All new employees are required to complete a two-week training period , which includes one week of opening shifts and one week of closing shifts. Pay is based on experience and is negotiable. About the Position As a Kennel Attendant, you will be an important part of our team and responsible for providing quality care to the animals staying, playing, or receiving services at Clif Wyck. This position involves working as a team and in all weather conditions . Kennel Attendants are responsible for providing animals with a clean, safe, sanitary, comfortable, and caring environment. Daily responsibilities include cleaning kennels and runs, laundry, feeding and watering animals, walking and exercising dogs, maintaining equipment, and assisting with boarding and daycare operations. Our kennel is a fast-paced, hands-on environment . We are very detail-oriented and expect our staff to be vigilant, dependable, timely, prepared, and willing to work as a team . Kennel Attendants work under the direction of the Kennel Managers, Shift Supervisors, and Daycare Coordinator. Responsibilities & Duties Clean and maintain kennels, runs, and animal living areas on a daily basis. Sweep, mop, complete laundry, remove garbage, and perform general cleaning throughout the facility. Clean and maintain kennel equipment, including cots, leashes, brushes, and other supplies. Wash food and water bowls and keep them clean and properly organized. Feed and provide fresh water to each animal while following all written feeding and logging procedures. Assist with the admission and departure of boarding, bathing, and daycare pets. Monitor up to 45-50 dogs in Doggy Daycare , working with 1-2 additional attendants to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment. Safely and properly use cleaning products and follow all required safety procedures. Walk and exercise dogs throughout the day. Interact with dogs in a safe, positive, and humane manner. Observe animals closely and recognize changes in behavior or signs of injury or illness. Immediately report any concerns regarding an animal to the Kennel Manager or Shift Supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist coworkers and clients in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner. Follow directions from management and supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills The ideal candidate will be: Punctual, reliable, responsible, and dependable. Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment. Someone who genuinely enjoys working with dogs and cats. Previous experience working with dogs is preferred. Able to safely and humanely handle animals of various sizes and temperaments. Comfortable handling large dogs weighing up to 150 lbs. Able to stand and remain active for extended periods of time. Able to walk dogs for extended periods, which may range from 3-5 hours during a shift . Able to bend, squat, kneel, and perform other physical tasks regularly. Able to lift and carry bags, boxes, and other items weighing up to 50 lbs. Able to work outdoors and in various weather conditions. Able to read, write, and understand oral and written instructions. Detail-oriented and observant. Able to communicate effectively and respectfully with coworkers and clients. Able to take direction while also being self-motivated and willing to stay productive. A strong team player who is willing to help wherever needed. Able to recognize and report potential health or behavioral concerns in animals. Able to maintain a positive and professional attitude throughout the workday. Must have reliable transportation and a dependable means of getting to work on time. Schedule Full-time, permanent position Approximately 30-40 hours per week , depending on business needs Monday through Sunday scheduling Hours may range from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday) Weekend shifts may be up to 12 hours Holiday availability required Two-week training period required: Week 1: Opening shifts Week 2: Closing shifts What We Are Looking For This is a job for someone who is reliable, hardworking, physically active, and committed to being part of a team .
