Our well-established and well-respected comprehensive dog training programs, and unique approach to balanced training and behavior modification are designed for real people in everyday situations, ad have achieved recognition from dog owners and professional worldwide.
The ideal candidate will:
At least one year of working experience in balanced training methodologies, canine behavior modification and working directly with clients, or be a recent graduate in comprehensive balanced dog training program animal behavior degree Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Have strong time management and organizational skills Be team oriented Be an open and willing collaborator and open to discussing cases with coworkers Be empathetic and compassionate with both huma and canine clients Be comfortable working with challenging dogs (resource guarding, reactivity, etc) Be comfortable using a broad variety of training techniques and tools Have a strong work ethic and also be flexible with adjusting plans, approach and techniques as needed Be self-motivated and driven Be capable of working a physically demanding job in all types of weather Be open to learning new skills Must be willing to work some evenings, some weekends and some holidays The position will include: Training dogs in our Board and Train program and Private Lessons according to K9 Connection's high standards of care Counseling human clients on building better relationships with their canine companions Communicating with clients on a regular basis via email and phone Standard side-work related to maintaining high sanitation and safety standards within our facility
