Duties:
- Supervise and monitor dogs in the daycare facility to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Engage in playtime activities with dogs, including interactive games and private walks around the property.
- Provide basic training and obedience reinforcement to dogs.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and common spaces.
- Administer medications or treatments to dogs as directed by the owner or veterinarian.
- Monitor dog behavior and intervene when necessary to prevent conflicts or aggression.
- Provide feeding and watering for dogs according to their individual needs.
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming.
Experience:
- Previous experience in animal care, such as working at a veterinary clinic, pet sitting, or dog training, is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Knowledge of dog behavior and body language is highly beneficial.
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.
- Strong customer service skills to interact with dog owners and provide updates on their pets' well-being.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) when necessary. This job will not be suitable for anyone with physical limitations.
- Familiarity with basic first aid for animals is a plus.
