D is for Doggy Hudson Yards New York, NY Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Full-time From $17 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Companion animal handling Pet care experience in outdoor settings Animal enclosure cleaning Dog handling Handling customer service requests Full Job Description We're looking for a dog-loving, reliable person to join our team. You'll start in our cage-free playroom, working directly with the dogs day to day. As you get comfortable, there's real opportunity to grow into front desk — greeting clients, handling check-ins, and being more of the face of the business. If you're the kind of person who's always been "the dog person" in your friend group and wants to grow with a team, this is for you. In the playroom, you'll: Watch the dogs, big and small, make sure everyone's playing nice and staying safe Get in there with them — walks, attention, keeping them happy Keep the room clean — messes get cleaned up right away, no exceptions. You need to be genuinely okay with that part of the job. Take this seriously. These are people's family members. As you grow into front desk, you'll: Greet clients and their dogs, keep the place running smoothly Take detailed client instructions and care notes for each dog Book grooming, boarding, and daycare appointments Check dogs in and out, run invoices Handle emails, calls, and booking requests What we're looking for: Someone reliable who shows up on time, every time Comfortable being on your feet and active all shift Willing and able to eventually take on front desk responsibilities — this matters Prior dog experience is a plus, but a genuine love for dogs and a strong work ethic matter more Weekend and holiday flexibility is a real plus If you love dogs, work hard, and want to grow with a small team that actually cares — we'd love to hear from you.
