We create a fun, enriching, safe, and exciting experience for our guests — and we're looking for a Dog Daycare Lead who can help us make every day awesome! All About Dogs is one of the leading pet care facilities on the east side of Cleveland, and we've been taking care of spoiled pets for more than 20 years . This is a fun, fast-paced environment where no two days are exactly the same! We Are Looking for a Dog Daycare Lead! Our Daycare Lead will be the leader of our daycare team and the heartbeat of our daycare program. You'll spend your day doing what you love — working with dogs — while also training and mentoring our daycare team, communicating with pet parents, creating fun daycare events, and helping us showcase all the fun happening at All About Dogs. This is a hands-on leadership position . You'll be in the play yards, interacting with the dogs and team, while making sure our daycare operates safely, smoothly, and with plenty of fun!
What You'll Do:
Lead the
Pack:
Supervise and lead the daycare team while setting the example for safe, positive, and engaging dog interactions. Train the
Team:
Help train new daycare employees on dog behavior, safe group play, cleaning, enrichment, customer service, and our daycare standards.
Keep Everyone Accountable:
Make sure the team follows safety procedures, maintains cleanliness, and provides the level of care our guests deserve.
Know Your Dogs:
Get to know the personalities, play styles, behaviors, and individual needs of our daycare guests. Create a
Safe Play Environment:
Monitor groups closely and recognize changes in body language, play style, stress levels, and behavior before problems arise. Make Daycare FUN! Come up with creative games, enrichment activities, themed days, and ways to keep our daycare guests happy and engaged.
Plan Daycare Events:
Help organize and execute fun events, holiday celebrations, themed activities, photo opportunities, and special daycare days.
Be Our Social Media Star:
Capture the fun happening in daycare and help create/post social media content that shows pet parents exactly why their dogs love coming to All About Dogs.
Communicate With Pet Parents:
Build relationships with our customers and communicate with owners about their dogs' day, behavior, friendships, accomplishments, and any concerns. Work With the
Front Desk:
Communicate important information about daycare guests with our front desk and management teams.
Keep It Clean:
Lead by example when it comes to cleaning and maintaining a safe, sanitary, and welcoming daycare environment.
Problem Solve:
Stay calm and make good decisions when unexpected situations arise.
Lead With Energy:
Bring enthusiasm to the daycare every day. Your attitude sets the tone for the team and the dogs!

What We're Looking For:
A HUGE Love of Dogs:
This one is non-negotiable! You should genuinely enjoy spending your day surrounded by dogs.
Leadership Skills:
You're comfortable giving direction, training others, holding people accountable, and leading by example.
Dog Experience:
Previous experience in dog daycare, boarding, veterinary, grooming, training, rescue, or another animal-related environment is strongly preferred.
Dog Behavior Knowledge:
You understand canine body language and know the difference between appropriate play and interactions that need to be interrupted.
High Energy:
Daycare is busy! You need to be able to stay engaged and attentive throughout the day.
Great Communication Skills:
You're comfortable talking with both your team and pet parents.
Creative Personality:
You love coming up with fun ideas, themed events, enrichment activities, and social media content.
Team Player:
You know that great daycare takes a great team.
Detail Oriented:
You notice the little things — changes in behavior, cleanliness, health, play styles, and the overall atmosphere of the room.
Calm Under Pressure:
When things get exciting, you stay calm, focused, and make good decisions.
Physically Fit:
Able to stand, walk, bend, clean, and stay active throughout your shift. Must be able to safely handle up to 40 pounds.
Flexible:
Able to work a variety of days, including weekends and holidays.
Reliable:
Dependable transportation and reliable attendance are required.
