About Us:
At Pleasant Pooch, we provide high-quality daycare, boarding, and training services in a fun, safe, and loving environment. We pride ourselves on a personalized approach to care, keeping our dog groups small— with a maximum of 5-6 dogs per playgroup —to ensure a safer, more enriching experience for every pup.
Job Summary:
As a Canine Care Specialist, you'll be responsible for the daily care and supervision of dogs in both our daycare and boarding programs. This is a hands-on, active role that includes cleaning, feeding, supervising group play, and monitoring dog behavior to ensure a safe and happy environment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage group play with dogs of all sizes and temperaments Clean and sanitize kennels, play yards, and common areas Feed dogs according to instructions and administer medications if needed Monitor and record dog behavior, health, and interactions Assist with bathing Engage in enrichment activities to keep dogs mentally and physically stimulated Ensure all dogs are safe, healthy, and having fun Work as part of a team and communicate clearly with coworkers and management
Requirements:
Must be comfortable working with dogs of all breeds and sizes Strong attention to detail and work ethic Reliable, punctual, and able to follow routines and instructions Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Previous experience in animal care is a plus, but not required

Pay:
$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
