We are a fast-paced pet boarding and doggy daycare facility where high standards of cleanliness and impeccable communication with our pet parents is at the forefront of the business (we also like to have fun, too!). Tasks & Responsibilities Independently supervise playgroups of up to 20 dogs at a time while learning their names and individual personalities Help with assessing new dogs for playgroup, being able to confidently and efficiently read dog body language (hands-on training provided) Continuously monitor our boarding pets for any abnormal behavior, and bring to the attention of our management team Thoroughly sanitize kennels and play areas in-between dogs, adopting our high clean standards and policies without cutting any corners Prepare meals and treat services for boarding and daycare dogs including those with special diets and feeding instructions Provide 1:1 potty breaks, playtimes, and kennel cuddles for our "solo dog" boarders Additional janitorial duties including laundry, dishes, mopping, and sweeping Provide excellent verbal and written communication with other team members and our management team Confidently use our pet boarding software (Gingr) to fill out feeding charts, review feeding instructions and additional care notes, add notes to pet profiles, and send report cards to pet parents Scheduling We are specifically seeking someone who has a minimum of Friday and Saturday availability. Shifts are scheduled as early as 6:30am and as late as 6:30pm, with most shifts scheduled in 9 hour increments. Additional availability throughout the week may be required, and will be determined upon hire. We offer consecutive and consistent days off each week, and opportunities for additional hours (including full-time hours) during our peak seasons (typically summertime and holidays) and through cross-training if desired. If you are a student, we will only be able to move forward with your application if you are available during our busy holiday season including working half-day shifts on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Requirements:
18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED Reliable transportation to and from your shifts Available to work the days and shifts listed above Available to work weekends and holidays (no exceptions!) Must be comfortable working in a loud and fast-paced environment Must be able to comfortably and reliably walk up and down a flight of stairs, squat, bend, kneel, stand on your feet for long periods of time, and lift up to 30 pounds independently Must be comfortable working in all types of weather Must be comfortable caring for, handling, and supervising a variety of dogs that range in age, size, breed, and temperament Must be willing and comfortable getting your hands dirty and picking up dog waste!
