Job Description

Position Summary Because You Care is a dog and cat rescue organization that strives to offer the highest standard of care to the rescued animals in our facility and foster homes and the highest level of customer service for potential adoptive families. We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated Dog Center Adoption Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will have a love of dogs and share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to both our canine and human clients. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable talking to groups and individuals along with using computer software. The Dog Center Adoption Coordinator is a part-time position (approximately 28-30 hours on site weekly and rotational weekly on call), reporting to the Dog Center Manager. Principle duties include, but are not limited to: Manage adoption process while following BYC adoption policies Manage adoption follow up Provide counsel and education to adopters regarding training services and basic animal care Learn and utilize our shelter management software ensuring that all records are kept up to date When in office, assist with answering the phones, greeting prospective adopters and provide top-quality customer service at all times Assist dog center manager with intake of dogs from foster homes to the adoption center If you feel you would be a good candidate who shares these values and has the vision to perform these duties, please submit a cover letter and resume to hr@becauseyoucare.org
