Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dog Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for animals and a strong understanding of canine behavior. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for teaching dogs essential commands, correcting behavioral issues, and providing guidance to pet owners on effective training techniques. Your role will not only enhance the lives of dogs but also strengthen the bond between pets and their owners. Duties Develop and implement training programs tailored to individual dogs' needs and behaviors. Teach basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, come, and heel. Address behavioral issues including aggression, anxiety, and excessive barking. Provide hands-on training sessions with dogs in various environments. Educate pet owners on effective training techniques and proper animal care practices. Maintain accurate records of training progress for each dog. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to animal care and training. Ensure the safety of all animals during training sessions through proper animal handling techniques. Experience Previous experience in dog training or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Skills in pet sitting, animal restraint, veterinary assistance, equine care, or general animal care are advantageous. A strong background in customer service is essential for effective communication with pet owners. Familiarity with various dog breeds and their specific training needs is beneficial. Certification from a recognized dog training program is a plus but not required.
