Handler

```Duties```

• Provide care and support for animals in a professional and compassionate manner
• Assist with the handling and restraint of dogs during play
• Take clear and focused images of the dogs for report card and social media
• Administer medications as directed by pet owner
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel
• Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
• Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
• Assist in dog training and behavioral modification ```Requirements```
• Experience in dog training, kennel work, or related field preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners
• Knowledge of basic pet care practices and animal behavior
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
• Comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as some animals may require assistance or transport
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written ```Additional Requests```
• Reliable transport as tardiness will not be tolerated for the safety of staff
• Good condition update phone as picture taking is a massive aspect of this job.
• The ability to work at both of our locations in South and West Philly
• Strong desire to learn dog behavior
