Kennel Attendant

Job Overview National Greyhound Adoption Program is looking for kennel attendants for the following shifts: 6:00am-12:00noon 4:00pm-10:00pm Individuals need to be confident with cats and dogs, be reliable and have a good work ethic. Basic duties consist of cleaning kennels, hosing yards, and feeding, watering and handling dogs in and out of the kennel for exercise. If you love dogs, this is the job for you. For those planning on entering the veterinary field, either as a technician or a veterinarian, kennel work provides you with valuable knowledge and experience transferable to a career in animal health and welfare. Must haves:

Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (up to 50 pounds). 18 or older and have your own transportation. No bus transportation. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage various breeds and temperaments. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with management and pet owners. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
