The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in a kennel and daycare environment. This role involves handling various breeds of dogs and other pets, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while maintaining a clean and organized facility. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising. Clean and maintain kennels, play areas, and other animal housing spaces. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the Shift Lead and/or Manager. Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing pets as needed. Handle animals safely using appropriate restraint techniques when necessary. Support pet owners by providing information about animal care practices. Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and any incidents that occur. Skills Strong skills in dog handling and general animal handling techniques preferred. Knowledge of basic pet care practices is a plus. Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively is preferred. Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members is a must. A compassionate attitude towards animals and a commitment to their welfare is a must. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail is required. Ability to be on your feet for 8+ hours at a time with very little breaks and/or time to sit is a must.
