Entry Level - Dog Trainer

Responsibilities Design and implement customized training programs to address behavioral issues and enhance obedience skills for dogs of all ages and temperaments Use positive reinforcement techniques to promote desirable behaviors and build strong owner-dog relationships Handle dogs safely during training sessions, ensuring proper restraint and comfort while maintaining control of the environment Provide guidance and education to pet owners on effective training methods, pet care routines, and animal behavior management Assist with pet grooming, pet sitting, and kennel duties as needed to support overall animal care efforts Maintain detailed records of training progress, behavioral assessments, and client interactions Support veterinary staff with basic animal handling tasks when required, including restraint and observation Experience Proven experience in dog training with a strong understanding of canine behavior modification techniques. Familiarity with animal handling, restraint procedures, and pet grooming practices Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background demonstrates excellent animal handling skills Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or animals during daily operations Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Knowledge of equine experience is a plus but not required; a passion for animals is essential Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise helps create happier, well-behaved pets while building lasting bonds with clients.
