Job Description
The Hairy Paw Inn is looking for team members who share our energy and enthusiasm for providing the best care for pets! Work experience in the pet industry is a plus! (Such as pet daycare or boarding facility, hospitality or service industry, or veterinary office.) We are looking for full-time and part-time team members.

Dog Handler and Kennel Care Specialist This is a hybrid role that combines hands-on dog handling with essential kennel maintenance and facility upkeep. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, health, and happiness of the pets in our care.What You'll Do:
- Supervise and interact with dogs of all sizes and temperaments in group play and individual care settings
- Perform deep cleaning and sanitation of kennels, play areas, and common spaces
- Feed, water, bathe, and care for dogs following individual routines
- Monitor dog behavior and manage group dynamics with confidence and control
- Communicate professionally with pet parents during drop-off and pick-up
- Maintain cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, laundry, dishes, and waste disposal
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions — rain, shine, snow, or heat
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with dogs in a professional setting preferred, but we will train the right person
- Strong understanding of dog behavior and safe handling practices, as well as knowledge of different dog breeds and breed temperaments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment — standing, walking, lifting, and bending are required throughout the day
- Self-motivated and dependable, with ability to pay attention to detail. Must be punctual and dependable, with reliable transportation
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have consistent availability on weekends and holidays — this is a requirement, not an option
