This part-time role offers a fantastic growth opportunity for animal lovers eager to develop their skills in dog handling, training, and pet care. You'll be the key to creating memorable experiences for dogs and their owners, ensuring safety, fun, and enrichment during every outing. If you thrive in an energetic environment and love working with animals, this position is perfect for you! Duties Lead engaging outdoor hiking adventures for dogs, ensuring they are active, happy, and well-supervised throughout each session Safely handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments, utilizing animal restraint techniques when necessary Assist with basic dog training exercises to promote good behavior during outings Monitor dog behavior continuously, intervening promptly to prevent conflicts or injuries Maintain a clean and safe environment by inspecting equipment and outdoor areas before and after activities Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dog's experience, progress, and any concerns Support team members with pet sitting duties, including feeding, grooming, and administering medications if needed Skills Proven experience in dog training or handling, with a strong understanding of canine behavior Physically capable of hiking up to 5-6 miles on any terrain and in any weather, all while carrying 20-30 lbs and handling up to 4 large dogs Skilled in animal handling, restraint, and pet care practices to ensure safety at all times Familiarity with pet grooming, pet sitting, and kennel procedures enhances your ability to care for dogs comprehensively Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist with equipment or large dogs Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners and team members Knowledge of animal care standards across different species such as equine or small animals is a plus Experience driving and operating large commercial vehicles is a plus Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm for animals makes a difference!
