Job Overview Join our vibrant pet care team as a Doggie Daycare Attendant, where your enthusiasm and love for animals will create a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. In this energetic role, you'll be the primary caregiver responsible for supervising playtime, ensuring animal safety, and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. Your dedication will help foster positive socialization, promote well-being, and ensure each dog's day is filled with joy and comfort. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while developing valuable skills in animal handling, training, and pet care. Responsibilities Supervise dogs during play sessions, ensuring safe interactions and proper socialization. Assist with basic dog training techniques to promote good behavior and obedience. Handle animals with care, using appropriate restraint methods to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including cleaning up after dogs and disinfecting play zones regularly. Monitor dogs for signs of stress or health issues, reporting concerns to veterinary staff as needed. Offer excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their dog's behavior and needs. Qualifications Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or kennel work is highly preferred. Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus. Familiarity with animal restraint methods and animal care protocols. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist with large or energetic dogs. Animal handling skills including recognizing signs of distress or illness in pets.
