This role is perfect for animal lovers who thrive in an active environment and are eager to connect with pets and their owners. You'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of dogs during walks, while also engaging them in playful activities that promote their health and happiness. What you'll do Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and socialization. Monitor the behavior and health of each dog, reporting any concerns to pet owners or veterinary professionals as necessary. Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior. Maintain a positive relationship with pet owners through effective communication and customer service. Manage multiple dogs at once while ensuring their safety through proper handling techniques. Assist with pet care tasks such as feeding, grooming, and administering medications when required. Keep accurate records of each dog's activities, including any notable behaviors or health issues. Uphold cleanliness by picking up after dogs during walks and maintaining a tidy environment. Basic qualifications Passion for animals and a strong commitment to their well-being. Preferred qualifications Experience in dog training or handling techniques. Background in veterinary care as a technician or assistant. Familiarity with equine care or other animal handling experience. Skills in pet sitting, grooming, and animal restraint. Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as carrying supplies or assisting larger breeds.
