Kennel Tech/Assistant Dog Trainer Position

Overview All Dogs Training Co. in Waller is currently hiring for a combined assistant trainer and kennel tech position. We primarily do board and trains at our facility, so this is an on-site position. You will work under our seasoned head trainer to expand your knowledge of balanced training methods, care of the dogs, and customer nurturing. Dog training knowledge is not required. Must have reliable transportation, pass a background check, be trustworthy and reliable, self motivating, and possess a strong work ethic. We are looking for long-term team members to grow with us. Responsibilities Assist head trainer as needed with training sessions (based on experience) Walking dogs on a potty schedule, feeding, general care Maintain cleanliness of kennels, exercise areas, and common spaces Video training sessions for owners Handle pet grooming and pet sitting duties as needed to ensure animals are comfortable and well-cared-for Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies, kennels, or large animals safely Potential for extensive advancement into other roles in the company, and full-time position, based on the candidate. Potential for advancement into a full-time training position. Experience Must have at least 1 year experience in an animal care role (boarding kennel, vet practice, etc.) •Required• Knowledge of dog behavior is a plus Knowledge of balanced training methods a plus. Knowledge of veterinary procedures, animal restraint techniques, and pet grooming is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills are required Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting is required. This is a quickly expanding company and there is a lot of potential for learning and job growth for the right person.

Pay:

$12.00 - $18.00 per hour
