Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, providing a safe and nurturing environment for dogs, horses, sheep, chickens and other animals. This role involves working closely with animals, ensuring their well-being, and assisting in various tasks related to their care. 8am - 6pm with 2 hours of breaks Paid training - if you love dogs, and can be a reliable worker, we will train you! Duties Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising pets. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning duties. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff. Support dog training sessions by implementing basic commands and techniques. Engage with pet owners to provide excellent customer service and communicate their pets' needs. Assist in grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing pets when required. Handle heavy lifting associated with moving supplies or larger animals safely. Requirements Previous experience in a kennel environment is preferred, but not required. Will train. Familiarity with dog training methods is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Experience in dog handling is essential for ensuring the safety of both staff and animals. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is crucial.
