Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to animals in our facility. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the pets under your supervision. This position requires a love for animals and a commitment to their care.
HOURS AVAILABLE
Saturday 4:30pm-6:30pm Sunday 7:30am-9:30pm, 4:30pm-6:30pm On call any given day for call outs and coverage Duties Provide daily care for dogs including feeding, exercising, and medication. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe environment. Heavy cleaning, stand/sweep/mop for long periods of time. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to manager. Help with dog handling during socialization activities and temperament tests. Perform heavy lifting tasks related to moving animals or cleaning supplies. Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment. Skills Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal behavior. Familiarity with kennel operations and pet grooming practices. Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively. Physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and pet owners. Customer service experience preferred. Ability to handle strong smells.
