Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services has an opening for an energetic, organized, sales and solution-minded individual to join our team as a Canine Coach Trainer at our location in Ashburn, VA. This is an operationally intense, service focused, key role within our business to manage the health and safety environment for all the dogs in our care as well as the ongoing training and development of our certified Canine Coach staff. Extensive training is provided for this full time position. If you're a leader among people and LOVE dogs and caring for them, then this IS the role for you!!

ABOUT THE CANINE COACH TRAINER ROLE
The Canine Coach Trainer is responsible for maintaining accountability and safety for a team of up to 12 employees and a group of up to 130 customer dogs! We are a fast-paced business and the candidate should be prepared to spend the entire shift on his/her feet. Multi-tasking and maintaining organization in a busy environment is required. We do operate 17 hours a day, 365 days a year. As a result, our management team is required to have availability to work some weekends and holidays. Canine Coach Trainers must meet the following requirements, demonstrate symbolic leadership, as well as outstanding customer service both internally and externally. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Upholding and setting the example for our company values Ability to develop individual coach training plans as well as execute and oversee the training and developing of team members, including offering regular feedback as well as writing and delivering performance reviews Mastery of dog behavior and dog communications Ensuring that all Dogtopia health and safety policies are followed Oversees weekly work schedule for Canine Coaches and Rovers and submits to General Manager for review Maintains budgeted labor cost Manages callouts accordingly Leads by example, positive attitude, and servant leadership Motivate, train, and develop Back of House employees focusing on excellent customer service, exemplary cleaning and safety standards, strong dog control and care. Ensures all back of house members complete the appropriate learning paths in a timely and complete manner Conducts monthly one - on - ones with all back of house team members Delivers written updates to the General Manage on a consistent basis Actively communicates team growth and developmental needs to leadership team Follows-up with team members on all requests, concerns, and goals Actively assists in pursuing and hiring back of house team members Effectively on boards all approved new hires Communicates, tracks, and assists with all significant parent issues and concerns, employee issues and concerns, and dog injuries, sickness, and behavior issues and concerns Plans, prepares, and conducts daily shift huddles with other members of the team. Oversees all Canine Coach activities, including but not limited to: Training Development Engagement Playroom Cleanliness Playroom Management Playroom Activities Dog Evaluations Dog Feeding and Medication Spa Services Facility Cleanliness Wellness Checks Facilitates, maintains, and updates cleaning and deep cleaning schedule Ensures correct usage of cleaning products for proper cleaning and sanitization as well as eliminating any waste Properly handle all dog and employee injuries Maintains OSHA standards Ability to work cohesively with their team in a respectful and professional manner Excellent communicator and can speak consistently to out 3 Ss (Smile, Story, Satisfaction) Strive for high customer review ratings by always smiling for the cameras and engaging in safe play!
