Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dog Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal handling and dog training, with a commitment to enhancing the bond between dogs and their owners. This role involves working closely with clients to develop customized training programs that address specific behavioral issues and training goals. If you have a love for animals and a desire to help them thrive, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities Conduct individual and group training sessions for dogs of various breeds and temperaments. Assess each dog's behavior and develop tailored training plans. Educate dog owners on effective training techniques, behavior management, and proper care. Maintain a positive and supportive environment for both dogs and their owners. Monitor progress of dogs in training and adjust methods as necessary. Provide guidance on basic obedience commands, socialization, and advanced skills. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being of all animals in care. Keep accurate records of training sessions, client feedback, and dog progress. Requirements Proven experience in dog training or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal handling. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their concerns. Knowledge of canine behavior, training methodologies, and animal care best practices. Experience with other animals (e.g., equine) is a plus but not required. Certification in dog training or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare. Ability to house a canine. Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
