This is a morning-focused position averaging 24-30 hours per week, with the expectation that you can work at least one weekend day each week. Our busiest and most important work happens in the mornings, so reliability and being ready to work are extremely important. Washing bowls, bedding, and other supplies Helping with transitions throughout the facility Providing individual attention and TLC to dogs who need it Keeping dogs safe, comfortable, and happy throughout the day Following all safety and handling procedures Communicating important information about dogs with the rest of the team Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility Working as part of a team to make sure every dog receives the care they need What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Reliable and dependable Comfortable working on their feet and being physically active for most of the shift Not afraid of hard, messy work Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels Able to recognize that safety comes before play A good communicator and team player Willing to learn and follow established procedures Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Someone who takes responsibility for their work without needing constant supervision Actually loves dogs—not just the idea of working with them! Previous kennel, daycare, boarding, veterinary, grooming, or animal-care experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. The Reality of the Job This position involves cleaning, lifting, bending, standing, walking, getting dirty, dealing with barking, and picking up after dogs every day. There will be slobber, accidents, muddy paws, and plenty of poop. But there are also wagging tails, puppy kisses, zoomies, happy greetings, and the satisfaction of knowing you helped make a dog's day better. If you are someone who wants a job where every day is different and the dogs genuinely depend on you, we'd love to hear from you!
