Job Description
Job Overview Are you a dog lover who's ready for a job that's as rewarding as it is fun? Camp Canine, a small but quickly growing doggy daycare in Mukilteo, is looking for three new part-time Dog Daycare Group Managers to join our team! We have 1 AM position to help with dog drop off's, assisting in morning boarding tasks like feeding/cleaning and dog playtime attendant and another Mid day shift to help with total group numbers and end of day tasks. At Camp Canine, we're all about providing exceptional care in a close-knit community environment. That's why we keep our playgroups small—no more than 10-12 dogs per group—so every dog gets the attention and supervision they deserve. To make sure you're set up for success, we provide training in dog body language, first aid, and CPR . We also love to have a good time with our campers, celebrating with special events like Back to School pictures, Halloween parades, and Secret Santa Paws! This isn't your average desk job. You'll be on your feet most of the day in a very hands-on and physically demanding role. Since we're mostly an outdoor facility, you should be prepared to work in all types of Pacific Northwest weather—rain or shine! Don't worry, we have warming and cooling stations to keep you comfortable. A big part of the job is keeping the dog areas clean, and while it can get loud at times, the most important thing is being a supportive team player. If you're passionate about working with dogs, have a positive attitude, and are ready to jump into a vibrant and active environment, we'd love to hear from you. The positions are part-time, with shifts ranging from 5 to 7 hours and a maximum of 24 hours per week. Starting wage is $18 per hour for first 30 days. $19 per hour after 30 days (and completion of dog handler classes) + eligibility for tips! Ready to make a difference in a dog's life? Apply today and become part of the Camp Canine family! Responsibilities Provide attentive care and supervision for dogs during playtime, walks, and training sessions. Ensure you are monitoring dogs for over-stimulation, anxiety or inappropriate play with other guests. Maintain a clean and safe environment for both pets and staff. This means following cleaning protocols, picking up poop, mopping, changing mop buckets, poop bags, dishes, laundry and more! Assist with basic grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing dogs. Communicate effectively with leadership about dog behaviors and issues. Collaborate with management when necessary for health checks or medical needs of the dogs. Engage in heavy lifting when required, such as moving supplies or assisting larger breeds of dogs for bathtime.
