Job Description
Job Summary Join our Happy Paws team as a Dog Handler, where your passion for animals and dedication to exceptional pet care will shine! In this role. you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, and well-being of the dogs in our care. You'll work closely with animals and team members to provide a positive environment that promotes healthy play and comfort. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in animal handling, training, and customer service while making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. Responsibilities Safely handle and restrain dogs during daily activities, training sessions, and veterinary procedures Assist with pet grooming, cleaning kennels, and maintaining hygienic environments for animals Support pet sitting duties by monitoring dogs' behavior and ensuring their comfort during their stay Conduct outdoor work such as walking, exercising, and socializing dogs in various environments Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and progress Assist veterinary technicians or assistants with animal care tasks including feeding, medication administration, and health monitoring Support team lifting activities when moving or transporting animals or equipment safely Qualifications Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable Experience in pet sitting, or kennel management is a plus Knowledge of dog body language and animal handling skills are preferable Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably and safely Strong understanding of animal restraint, cleaning protocols, and animal care standards customer service skills with a positive attitude Prior experience working with animals in a team environment preferred Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to providing outstanding pet care!
