Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and possess the skills necessary to handle various breeds of dogs and other pets. This position requires attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our furry client Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the management or veterinary staff. Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed. Handle dogs safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort and security at all times. Support dog training initiatives by reinforcing basic commands and positive behaviors. Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and any incidents that occur during shifts. Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both pets and staff. Qualifications Previous experience in a kennel or animal care setting is preferred but not required. Strong dog handling skills with an understanding of different breeds' temperaments Knowledge of pet care practices, including feeding schedules, and basic health monitoring. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being. Pay:
$11.00 - $15.00 per hour

4 hour shift
Work Days:
Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
