Job Summary The Bearded Seal Barbershop is a high quality, in demand, appointment-only barbershop in downtown Palmer, Alaska. We strive to provide excellent services that make our customers feel like they've stepped back in time. We are seeking traditionally trained barbers that have all required licensing in the state of Alaska. Responsibilities Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves and beard trims using straight razors and other tools. Apply advanced hair cutting techniques while considering individual client preferences and facial features. Utilize salon software such as GlossGenius for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales tracking. Offer additional services like hot steam services, and ear/nose/eyebrow waxing, to enhance client satisfaction. Maintain high standards of sanitation and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Manage other responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling client inquiries professionally. Skills Proven expertise in barbering techniques- including straight razor shaves and beard care. Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members. Ability to perform a range of men's hair and beard styles with precision. Knowledge of sanitation standards to uphold health regulations within the barbershop environment.
